1. although control group 2 started off with higher body mass, we can see that body mass increased by around 5 g in the course of 6 weeks whereas the body mass of the exercise group decreased by around 2 grams. The control group 2 birds decreased in mass slightly in the first 2 weeks whereas the exercise group stayed the same the first 2 weeks.
2. This claim is largely supported, as both groups which had little exercise still had greater muscle mass than the exercise group.
3. We can compare the increase or decrease in the ratio between the mass of muscles and the mass of the entire body. By dissecting a dead bird, we can see the initial proportions of the muscle mass to body mass. We can also utilize differences in responsiveness of electrical currents through muscle cells and normal body cells.
4. Ethically, it is wrong to place the babies of mother nature forcefully (without their consent) into an artificial environment in which they are unable to live regularly. Their health may be negatively affected, and this can in itself affect the results of our data. Essentially, we are “using” animals, and taking advantage of their inferiority as far as intelligence, strength, and size for our own benefits.
